Playboy cashing in on Poker craze

Well, it was just a matter of time before something like this happened. Playboy is producing it’s “Women of Poker” DVD and they are trying to cash in on the poker craze that has been sweeping the nation world the past few years. There only seem to be two qualifying factors, you have to be a hot girl and be able to play poker. Although I’m not too sure about the latter.

The new venture is intended to repeat the success of E! Entertainment’s The Girls Next Door, which looked at the extraordinary lives of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends behind the doors of the infamous Playboy Mansion. Contestants will take part in a series of five regional qualifying rounds held throughout the US, during which the girls will be given a chance to show more than their hand in test shoots for Playboy.

The 30 women who have what it takes to model for Playboy will win a trip to Las Vegas to compete in the televised finals, where the six contestants who win the most points from both their card-playing and modelling skills will become fully fledged members of Playboy’s party-going poker team.

Playboy, like many other businesses are capitalizing on the poker craze now. Poker businesses like Fulltilt Poker have been around for a very long time and are rock solid.
