Bodog Signs Jamie Gold for 2 Year Deal

Jamie strikes Gold again with this amazing 2 year deal from Bodog.com. Jamie Gold won the largest poker tournament to date with over $12M going to him for finishing first place in this year’s World Series of Poker Main Event. The $10,000 buy-in tournament was No-Limit Texas Holdem, the Cadillac of Poker. Jamie survived the field of over 8,000 poker players who all came with the hopes of striking Gold in Vegas.

The tournament’s $10k entry fee for Gold was provided by Bodogpoker, owned by Bodog.com - the online gaming empire and leading entertainment brand. After winning the major tournament, Bodog immediately offered a 2 year deal to Jamie Gold, an ex-hollywood agent, that features some very sweet perks. Gold’s two year endorement deal features the standard buy-ins at all major tournaments, a $1,000,000 television production deal, and a featured table at Bodogpoker where other poker players can put their skills to the test against the champ himself.

“Jamie truly epitomizes the Bodog spirit. We are incredibly proud of his achievement and thrilled by his performance in the tournament,” said Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com. “This was the most exciting and dominant performance since the WSOP has grown to its current size, fueled by poker’s ever growing popularity.”

An avid poker player, Gold grew up in a family of poker champions. His grandfather was a gin-rummy champion and his mother was one of the first professional female poker players. Before he was the champion of poker, Gold played poker over 40 hours a week on the Las Vegas strip and the week prior to winning the WSOP, he cashed over $100,000 in tournament winnings.

Jamie Gold is not a fluke poker player like some of the past WSOP champions. Gold is here to stay and Bodog is betting the house on it.
