FullTilt Will Still Market to U.S. Players

In a recent news article at cardplayer magazine, Fulltilt Announced that they are “staying put”.  While many of the online poker industry’s top sites have stated they will end business relations with customers located in the US if the President signs the bill designed to curb online gaming into a law, the people behind Full Tilt Poker are standing by their product and services.

Citing the fact that the banking industry has 270 days to implement the new rules after the President signs the bill, Full Tilt Poker informed its players that there will be no impact on the site for the short term.

Trying to calm its players’ nerves, Full Tilt also helped to clarify the grey areas surrounding the legislation via the site’s poker blog.  “The new legislation will not criminalize individuals for playing online poker. Instead, the bill will eventually attempt to prevent the transfer of funds to online gaming. As poker is a game of skill rather than of pure chance, we hope that it will not be affected by this new bill.”
