PokerStars Releases Asia Pacific Poker Tour Season II Schedule

The first annual Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) was an enormous success last year, resulting in elevated anticipation for the second installment of this lucrative tournament series. As such, the world’s largest online poker room, Poker Star, happily announced the schedule for its sponsored poker tour, the APPT II. This year’s tour includes an added location, as well as higher buy-in events with increased prize pools.

The Asia Pacific Poker Tour will kick off season II with its first stop in the People’s Republic of China, hosting a series of events at the Grand Waldo Casino and Hotel in Macau. From September 1st through the 9th, tournaments will be held, including the Main Event with a direct buy-in of $3,200, and a high-roller event with a buy-in of $19,200.

The next stop on the PokerStars.net APPT II will be the Paradise Walkerhill Casino in Seoul, Korea, from 26th through the 28th, with a buy-in of $2,870. From there, the PokerStars APPT II will head over to Auckland, New Zealand’s Skycity Casino, from October 9th through 12th, where the main event will feature a $2,400 buy-in. Another stop in Manila, Philippines will see a $2,350 buy-in at the Hyatt Hotel and Casino, with dates yet to be announced.

The PokerStars.net APPT II will come to a close in Sydney, Australia, December 2nd through 7th, at the Star City Casino, featuring a 900-max entry list and $5,930 buy-in to the main event.

As a Poker Stars sponsored tour, members of the online poker room can expect to find numerous qualifiers and satellite competitions awarding prize-package entry to the esteemed second season of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour.
