UltimateBet & Absolute Poker Merge To Create CEREUS Network

Already under the same parent company, Tokwiro Enterprises, popular online poker rooms UltimateBet.com and AbsolutePoker.com have merged to form the CEREUS Network. The two online poker rooms will now share the same software, tournaments and network player base, instantly becoming the third largest poker network on the Internet.

It’s not yet clear how the merging of tournament schedules will be handled. As many of you known, UltimateBetPoker signed elite poker professional Annie Duke to revamp, redesign and expand its poker tournament schedule and payout structure. The endeavor has been very successful thus far, leaving many to wonder whether Duke’s input will roll over onto the new CEREUS Network.

“I am so excited to announce the launch of our new poker network CEREUS,” states Paul Leggett, Chief Operations Officer of Absolute Poker and UltimateBet. “This is a huge landmark for our company and online poker. I’m confident that Absolute Poker and UltimateBet customers will be thrilled by the new platform and we look forward to welcoming many new players from around the world.”

It goes without saying that the merge of Absolute Poker and UltimateBet is a full scale attempt to reinvigorate the reputation and façade of the online poker sites. “Our company’s goal is to provide poker players with the ultimate online experience,” Leggett continued. “The launch of CEREUS is a major step for us in achieving our goal and we look forward to making many more exciting announcements very soon.”
