PokerStars Continues To Dominate Online Poker Industry

There’s a lot going on at PokerStars.net and PokerStars.com these days; an avid claim that only helps to back up the online poker room’s position as the world’s leading Internet poker site. From extravagant weekly guaranteed prize pools to lucrative promotions, it’s no wonder so many players have flocked to PokerStars for a permanent vacation.

Topping the expectant favorites are the summer Freeroll competitions. PokerStars is sending its player all around the globe, with absolutely nothing but skills required to win.

Two members will win a $6,000 prize package to APPT Seoul in Korea. Another eight online poker players can win a trip to the PokerNews Australia Cup. Five more lucky players will be shipped off to APPT Auckland, and it’s all happening in PokerStars Freerolls throughout the month of September.

If you haven’t already heard, PokerStars upped its guaranteed tournament ledger from 199 to 483 guaranteed tournaments each and every week. The online poker room will now pay out a minimum of $13,000,000 in weekly guaranteed prizes. PokerStar didn’t just up the schedule, though. It added value to its already ‘most valuable tournaments in the online poker industry’.

The PokerStars Sunday Million, reputed for its awesome $1million GP every Sunday, was boosted to a minimum purse of $1.5 million. The Sunday Warm-Up, Super Tuesday and other popular guaranteeds also saw an increase in guaranteed payouts.

If PokerStars wasn’t busy enough, the online poker room felt it was time to offer its members a fresh new look, as well. PokerStars updated its software to offer a sleek “Black Theme” in the poker lobby that I, personally, find to be extremely attractive. Of course, for those who prefer the classic design of Poker Stars.com, the option was given to keep the “PokerStars Classic Theme” after updating.

PokerStars is constantly on the move to upgrade what is already the world’s most popular online poker room – what will they think of next?
