WSOP Fantasy League At PKR Poker

Popular 3D online poker room, PKRpoker, is offering their members a chance to pick their favorites, and hopeful winners, at this year’s World Series of Poker by entering the WSOP Fantasy League competition. Entry to the points-based competition is free, with real cash prizes awarded to the top 10 point leaders at the end of the 2008 WSOP.

PKRpoker.com has compiled a list of 300 poker players who they feel have the best shot at taking down this poker world’s most prestigious event, the WSOP. Participants in the PKR WSOP Fantasy League will be given 10,000 virtual dollars to spend on the selection of 10 players, with pros costing anywhere from $200 to $2,000 a piece.

Each WSOP participant on the list will be tracked throughout the 32-events of the WSOP, awarding points based on their finishes. The player must finish in the top 20 of an event to award points. The WSOP Main Event will award triple points. When the PKR Poker WSOP Fantasy League competition comes to a close, the top 10 finishers will each earn their share of a $2,450 prize pool.

As an added bonus, PKR Poker has selected its own Fantasy League team that includes Allen Cunningham, Phil Ivey, Barry Greenstein and others. Any PKR Poker member whose roster beats the PKR Poker roster will receive entry to an exclusive $1,000 Fantasy Freeroll.

PKR Poker will update its WSOP Fantasy League Leaderboards at the conclusion of each WSOP event, with the final update, and resulting award winners, revealed after the WSOP Main Event finale.
