PokerStars is randomly doubling just about anything you could imagine at the online poker room through the month, from points rewards to cash game pots and yes – even last Sunday’s $1,000,000 GP was multiplied to a whopping $2,000,000.

As one might expect, this drew nearly the double entries as well. The PokerStars Sunday 2x Million attracted the attention of 14,181 participants. With so many entries, it’s not surprising that it took nearly 10 hours to complete the online poker tournament. In typical PokerStars fashion, the guaranteed prize pool was trumped by the excessive participation from members of the online poker room; so high in fact that the reward nearly peaked at $3 million, but fell just short at $2,836,200.
